Our Journey so far!
1990 – 2004
The Foundation
- Started in the year 1990 mainly to eradicate child labor, child marriage, and to provide education to orphans and destitute deserving children. The “Right to Education” was denied to these children because they were deemed unworthy.
- The Founders were the first to raise their voice against this exploitation, and thus began what was then called “ Young Citizens Nursery School” in the very front room of their home where the initial first 10 years of free education was offered.
- As the numbers grew the school was later transferred to a dedicated place having classes upto 5th standard recognized by the government of Karnataka.
2004 – 2014
The Pillars
- The school covered the rural areas extending the radius of 25 km where 400 students were part of our renewed education system.
- We are recognized by the government of Karnataka, and the year 2007 was our first batch to successfully get through 10th standard in our school
- So far we’ve had 13 batches graduate with flying colours from our school
- The school had transformed into a global education system through international partnership, volunteers, and in our services rendered to people.
2014 – Present
Building Blocks
- The school is built in two separate campuses, having preschool and school at two different, nearby locations.
- It now serves around 500 students providing better classrooms, infrastructure and has all the facilities to cover the child’s needs.
- We are now approaching an advanced learning system and how to better serve our pupils and address their individuality, especially their individual learning needs.
